THE GALLERIES

LANDSCAPES

There is always something great about shooting landscapes, which brings a sense fulfillment. Through this gallery Stuart intends to take you on a journey to remind you about nature, and the natural world. In our current lives it is easy to run out of time to stop and smell the roses. It is common to get caught in your own busy world and lose track of the outside world. Ultimately, Stuart hopes to bring the images in the landscape gallery to life to tell the story and connect with you – the viewer. From cascading waterfalls, full moons and exquisite sunsets to the serene hues of yellows, oranges and green of the Colorado fall colours.

PORTRAITS

Since the dawn of photography, people have made portraits and many people enjoy having professionally made family portraits to hang in their homes, or special portraits to commemorate certain events, such as the birth of a child, or weddings. Whether candid or formal portraiture is a challenging yet very rewarding experience. Stuart hopes that through this gallery you can see the essence of his subjects and their personalities.

CITYSCAPES

Living in the hustle and bustle of London, green spaces for landscape photography are few and far between. There are however many fascinating and interesting urban environments that make the city a fantastic place for photographing especially architecture and skylines. From urban landmarks, historic buildings and interesting structures. Rather than sip Champagne on the Eifel Tower – why not capture a more interesting perspective of life… from the top of Montparnasse Tower.

STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

For the street Photographer there is no specific subject matter and only the issue of ‘life’ in general, he does not leave the house in the morning with an agenda and he doesn’t visualise his photographs in advance of taking them. Street Photography is about seeing and reacting – introducing element of chance and the concept of spontaneity. Anything can happen and you need to be ready to snap that split second opportunity to capture something special… The couple holding hands as they stroll through Paris, the lady pulling her dog along as the 1928 Citroen 11 Normale Limousine breezes past.

WILDLIFE

The name of the game is wildlife photography and there is probably no more challenging subject for a photographer. The quest for a perfect shot is endless, the quarry unpredictable. Be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait—it takes a long time to get good wildlife shots, even longer to make great ones. And often it is the small things like the dung beetle patiently and arduously rolling his treasured ball of poop along the ground.

ABSTRACT

Abstract photography can produce very dramatic images. It relies on our more primal sense of form, color, and curves than it does on detail. Opportunities for abstract images are all around you. It takes a different way of looking at our world to perceive the abstract photography opportunities that surround us – you just need to be on the lookout for them.
